Obedience Program
BEGINNER BASIC OBEDIENCE CLASS
Cost $90.00 (30% discount for rescue dogs, must present proof of adoption)
Class length: 7 weeks. No dogs the first night
This class is designed for young dogs or any age dog with little or no
obedience training. The class will help the owner/handler understand
proper handling, socialization and basic obedience skills.
Classes will teach sit, down, stay, focus, heel, come and stand for exam
Common behavioral problems will be discussed.

S.T.A.R. PUPPY CLASS
For young puppies up to the age of 8 months. All breeds & mixed breeds welcome, no AKC registration required. Early training and socialization are key to having a well behaved dog. This class will get you started on the right path by showing you how to teach your puppy in a fun and positive manner. It provides valuable training information including crate training and teaching basic manners including a reliable recall.
At the end of the class, the instructor will administer the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy test. Upon passing, owners and their puppies will be enrolled in the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Program. |

INTERMEDIATE OBEDIENCE CLASS (Novice)
Class length: On going. This is a drop in class.
This class is designed for dogs that have had some obedience training.
The class reinforces basic obedience skills and positive behavior.
It incorporates more advanced skills with distractions: moving sit,
moving down, retrieving dumbbells, stand for exam, sits and downs
with handler out of sight.
This class will prepare the dogs for an AKC Companion Dog title (CD)
or German BH.

ADVANCED OBEDIENCE CLASS (Open/Utility)
Class length: On going. This is a drop in class.
This class is designed to teach fundamentals required for an AKC
Open or Utility title. Including off leash heeling, directed jumps, the send away,
moving stands, scent work etc.
All obedience classes stress control, compassion, socialization, and helping
the owner/handler deal with dog related situations
Trainer has 30+ years training experience.
